What's up everyone? All right, in today's episode I'm going to break down my trades from the morning. I have three stocks I traded. I'm red on two out of the three and I thought for sure I was going to be giving you guys a red day recap because on those two stocks I was red on, I was sitting down $15,000 before the third stock came along and absolutely saved the day. That stock that came along put out a headline that they're buying, I think it was around $400 million of dollars of SpaceX stock to park on their balance sheet. Now, the stock was only trading at about dollar a share when this news came out and that's very interesting because now all of a sudden anyone who maybe wants to buy SpaceX but doesn't want to spend $150 a share to buy it, gets exposure to SpaceX by buying this cheap stock at a dollar or two dollars a share. This treasury strategy is something we saw a lot of companies do last year with cryptocurrency and we know it didn't work out very well because the underlying asset of crypto went down and so it hurts the balance sheet all those companies. But essentially what this company is doing is they're just buying a ton of SpaceX and now hoping that other people buy shares of their company because they own SpaceX. And if they had enough volume in their stock, they could do a secondary offering to sell more shares on the market and then use the money they raised to buy more SpaceX. Now, if they bought enough SpaceX and they raised enough money, they would be actually helping support the price of SpaceX. Now, the reality is they're not going to be able to do that because the float on SpaceX is so huge and this company is so small, it's not going to be like the MicroStrategy MicroSystems kind of thing that they had going with Bitcoin. However, clearly the market reacted favorably to this headline as the stock squeezed up nearly 600% a surprise move that saved the day. And I guess I could say I'm a little annoyed because I went red this morning and then this comes along and I wasn't able to fully capitalize on it because I was so red on the day. I was like, man, you know, you could screw up on this and all of a sudden you're down 25, 30 grand and that's what I just did on Tuesday. Tuesday I was down 36,000. Then on Wednesday I made what, 9 grand? Okay, I think that's what I made yesterday. I can't even remember. And so, you know, whatever, made some progress, made back a third of the loss. And then today to go down 15 or 30,000 again, I'm stair stepping down if I do that. So, I said, no, just go easy. And so, as we as I finish the day here, I'm up 5,302 dollars and 23 cents. It's not a great day. I went down 15 grand. I So, I in a way you could say risked 15 to make five. Um, it's not a good risk to reward ratio. I wouldn't want to trade like that every day. Uh, but that's the way things kind of played out today. So, let's go back. Uh, we'll we'll review ILLR, which as you can see here right now is still up 356% on 145 million shares of volume. Uh, but before we do that, let's look at ANY and MIMI. So, first trade of the day was on MIMI. Um, this stock popped up uh and it had news. News came out. Hong Kong company, as we know the last uh few weeks we've seen some pretty big momentum in Chinese names. So, Hong Kong company coming out with a headline that ties in the keyword of AI and robotics. Felt like that was probably something to pay attention to and we ended up getting a pretty nice squeeze on the stock. So, if I back this up here, we got this first push higher and although I traded this move up here, I was getting partial fills on the way up. So, I didn't really make very much on it. Uh, unfortunately, it ends up peaking at five, it rolls over, it drops back down. so whatever, hands off, does a full round trip. So, I'm like, man, I mean, it's even got news and it's doing a round trip. And we're seeing stocks that have no news going up higher, but whatever. Then it curls back up here and I get back in for the break of VWAP. We go up to 420, we pull back, drops down, comes back up again, I get back in again for the break of VWAP, comes up to 440, doesn't quite pull away, then I'm getting in here, getting in here, and then right here finally, I was up 4,000 on the day and I said, I'm going to step up to the plate here. I think this thing is going to break through $5. And when it does, we're going to get a quick squeeze up to 550, maybe to six. So, what do I do? I add 40,000 shares right up here for the squeeze through five and I suffer a loss as it rejects dramatically back down to 440. So, I end up losing $8,000 uh total Well, I'm really $8,000 on it. So, I was up So, it was a $12,000 loss. So, I lost about 30 cents on 40,000 shares. And I was like, gosh darn it, you know, why did I Why? You know, but looking back at that setup right now, was there any indication that that was not going to work well? Um and I don't think that there Well, so, okay, I I'm I'm going to give it a fresh set of eyes here. Um what were some indications it might not work well? This false breakout right here, the higher volume selling initially here and again here and here. It clearly had a lot of sellers on it. Um and now I thought I saw those sellers and I thought that that was going to create um the bias that shorts would keep adding, but if we broke five, they would cover and that's where we would get that squeeze. So, I kind of factored in that information and then still had the belief that it was going to go higher and I was wrong. So, I took my loss on it, and that was at um 8:56 in the morning. So, now we're running out of time, right? We're getting closer to the opening bell. I usually trade the best up till about 10:00 a.m. And then, uh moments after I take that loss, um ANY hits the scanner. So, this is going to be back at um Uh well, I don't know if I'll get back to it exactly, but um this would have been do do do right here. ANY hits the scanner. I see that it's also got news, has advancing AI infrastructure da da da da, and I'm like, okay, you know, 4 million share float. I think I can work with this. And so, it's up to $4 a share, and I jump in um right here at 390, adding at four, and this thing goes to 415, and then tanks to 350. I had 13,000 shares, something like that. And I lost six grand on that. And so, in an instant, I went from up 4,000 on the day to red 14 grand. That's not good. That's not fun. And I'm thinking, well, holy smokes, I gave back everything I made yesterday, and you know, then for you know, from where I was at on Tuesday, this is not moving in the right direction. Uh but uh I just sort of sat and thought, well, let's I guess let's see what we're going to do, and it was only a few minutes later that ILLR was hitting the scans as they put out this news of um the SpaceX um uh strategic you know, uh treasury strategy. You know, which is interesting that it didn't pop up until uh a little bit later. So, I don't know what the thing is with that, cuz look, the news came out right here at 8:30. It pops up, it reverses, and then it goes to $1, 120, 140, 150, 180 to two, all the way up to 280, pulls back, goes higher. So, where did I break the ice on this one? Well, I took my first trade about $1.90, and I was looking for the break of two, and the moment after I bought, my computer froze. >> [laughter] >> This is very annoying. You know, I'm running ThinkorSwim, I'm running all these Lightspeed, DAS Trader, cuz of the small account challenge. So, I got in on that micro pullback right there. I bought 15,000 shares, I added to 30,000 as it broke two, and then my computer froze. And it went to 280, I would have been up like 25 grand. Couldn't see anything. It comes all the way back down to 190. And my computer resumes, and I'm like back in here, and I got back out. So, I got back out with some profit on it, 10,000, but was not what I was hoping for. Then it dips down, curls back up, and comes back up here, we break through dollar $2.40 back to 290. And then it pulls back again, and I did small trades here, but because of the topping tails, I wasn't sure this was going to really work. And then at the open, it was perking up again, dips down, and I got in right here, just before the opening bell at about 250, and rode the momentum up to $3. That put me up 20 on the day, or sorry, 20 on the ticker. And then we pull back, and we got this little pop up to this level here. Then we dip down, and we curl back up later, and we end up halting up right here at 390. We resume, and on resumption, I did a dip, I stopped out for a loss, then I added back a little higher. Kind of mismanaged that trade, and then got out as it squeezed up to a high of 520. So, all in all, you know, I'm locking up some profit on it. Best exit looks like was 486, best entry was down under $2, but I I didn't trade it as well as I could have, would have, should have, but you know what? You get the ball back, you get another shot tomorrow, and so hopefully tomorrow is a little bit better. Combined yesterday and today, you know, I'm still in a drawdown in the main account, not a big one, but you know, still down 20 26 No, no, let's see. I'm What am I 8 9,000 14,000 so 13 points Yeah, so I'm still down, I guess right now, about 22,000. Um but you know, one one decent trade, I mean, I made 20 grand on ILR pretty quickly. So, I just need to get some good opportunities and hopefully we get some more of them tomorrow and then, you know, we'll always have next week, right? So, I'll be back at it first thing tomorrow morning streaming as always and I'll remind you that trading is risky and my results aren't typical, so manage your risk, take it slow. We had some big volatility today. Was able to walk away green in in in all of the accounts today. So, and hopefully you guys tune into the small account challenge. So, with that, I'll see you guys back at it first thing tomorrow morning.
