I Choose NOT To Trade These Stocks...

What's up everyone? All right, so today
is a no trade day. No trades in the
small account, no trades in the big
account. And that's not totally
surprising, I suppose, when you look
back at the last week. Last week, Monday
was a small green day. Tuesday, I
crushed it. And then Wednesday and
Thursday, small green days, the first
and second days of July. Friday, the
market was closed. Came back on Monday.
Monday was slow. First trade of the day,
I went red 1,600 bucks. was able to
recover that and finish the day green,
but wasn't a great day on Monday.
Tuesday, I went red about $3,500 before
recovering to being green, only 3,000.
And there was just not much moving on
Monday on Tuesday. So, Monday and
Tuesday were again progressively slower,
which meant my likelihood of today being
a red day was getting higher. You know,
when you see your green days getting
bigger, you're going to get more and
more aggressive. When they're getting
smaller, that's a time to kind of take
the foot off the gas. So, when I came in
this morning, because yesterday was
difficult, I set the bar low in terms of
my expectations. Yes, CLRO was awesome
yesterday. Ended up going all the way up
to $16 a share. I had a good read on it.
Didn't trade it as well as I could have,
would have, should have, but
nonetheless, the stock continued higher.
But aside from that, yesterday was still
fairly slow. So, when I sat down this
morning and looked at my scanners, the
first thing I noticed at about 6:45 was
that the leading gainer was only up 48%.
And I thought, "This is not good." I
quickly looked back at our scanners
between 4:00 a.m. and about 6:45, and
that's when I realized that there really
hadn't been much during even that early
window that moved uh nicely at all. So,
I'm going to scroll back to those early
trades so you can take a peek. So, NCA,
this is the first stock that popped up
at 4:00 a.m. Now, I'm going to walk you
through the trades that I considered and
explain why I didn't take those trades
today. It is a no trade day, but there's
still something to cover. So, that's
what I'm going to walk you through. Um,
and so NC, this one pops up at 4 in the
morning right here, big pop, and then
rolls over and sells off. Sells off,
sells off, sells off. 805. They've got a
headline that comes out um expands
diversified technology strategy with
binding agreement to acquire D.
Yes, the company also did a reverse
split just the last couple days. But you
look at the chart on the daily and you
can see you've got these history the
history of red candles. We're 200 moving
average is at 15. So we've got a ways to
that. But at 4:00 a.m. this popped and
sold off. So coming in at 7 a.m. right I
guess right around here this was not
looking good. We'll come back to it in a
moment, but at 7 a.m. it was not looking
good at all. So, that was um the first
one. Then we had IOTR on the scanners
this morning. It had begun to move after
hours and continued a little bit at 4 uh
but then was pulling back coming into 7
a.m. So, that one was also out of play.
Uh then we had SHPH. SHPH, this one had
popped up in the pre-market session, but
as you can see, popped up, dropped down,
popped up, dropped down. Too choppy. No
trades. BATL. This is an energy stock.
So, squeezing up on news that the
ceasefire has been cancelled, ceased. Uh
we're now back at war. And so, the S&P
500 is down and USO, United States Oil
Fund is up. And so, not surprising to
see BATL in an energy small cap stock
moving up as well. But not a sector that
I typically uh at least in this past
like six month cycle have found success
with. Sky Q earlier on the scans.
You know, this one, I mean, I feel like
on the daily, if it breaks over four, it
probably does have some potential for a
move higher. Um, but it's a stock that's
very thickly traded. You look at the
level two on it, and the thing is a
grinder. You got tons of volume. It
doesn't really do big breakouts, so
you'd have to feel confident enough to
hold it for a while, and I'm just not.
So then you had BR and or BNRG. This one
had popped up and dropped up in uh
dropped down in pre-market. We had Lucy
Innovative Eyewear which had popped up
and kind of was grinding but not pulling
away. And then at 713 we had V V E um
Twin V Power Cats. They make boats and
uh it popped up and I was like no I this
is not on theme. It doesn't make sense.
I'm not going to trade it. No trades on
that. PDYN pops up. Floats 38 million
shares. I say no. Anna pops up. Light
volume. Nothing moving there. VTAC is
too cheap. This is 726. No trades there.
And then WFF hits the scanner. Malaysian
company, as you can see right here, no
news. It goes from 260 to 340 and then
drops back down. As I looked at it, I
said, well, I don't know. So, it has
this after hours high here around 365.
If it could get over that level, maybe,
but then the 200 is at 450. It's a
little close. I'm just going to wait and
see what it does. Not confident enough
to jump in yet, especially with no
catalyst. And it promptly rolled over.
So, there was no trade on that one. So,
I considered it, but didn't take a
trade. Couple other stocks hit the
scanner momentarily. A couple cheap
stocks, nothing. Nothing. Um, and so
that that's the entire highday momentum
scanner up until 9:30. Now, we did have
um another stock that hit the scanners
uh earlier this morning. Uh it was NCA.
This one hit the running up scanner
because the issue was it had the
pre-market high way up here. So, it
didn't hit wouldn't have hit the high
day scanner again until it broke over
350, but it did squeeze here from a $180
to $3, which is a pretty big move. So,
when that happened, we saw that there
was a headline on this at 8:05 a.m. And
so, as it starts to pop up, um, I looked
at it and I initially was like, "Okay,
this thing is moving very quickly."
Basically, no volume. Then boom, the
volume surges in. So, traders were
excited. They jumped on that fast, but
it's a little cheaper. And immediately,
we had some big sellers that came out
and that's what created these initial
topping tails. It dips down. It does an
ABCD pattern, and I didn't trade it. I
just said, you know, I I just don't know
about this one. It feels heavy. It did
end up going, but it couldn't even break
over three. Ends up rolling over and
then um you know, that that was it. Now,
just before the open, there was a
headline on CCH, and this stock popped
from 30 cents a share up to 48 cents a
share. Now, it's back down. The headline
was that CEO announces planned purchase
of 10 to $30 million of company shares
at not less than a dollar per share,
reinforcing long-term commitment to
strategic growth. Remember that a
planned purchase is not an actual
purchase. It's more significant after
the purchase takes place. And so
planning to do something, plans can
change. And so I really don't usually
put as much uh weight into a planned
event uh as much as one that's been um
that has a real commitment tied to it.
And so in any case, that popped up. It
reversed. I wasn't surprised. And now in
the last 30 minutes since the bell has
rung, there really hasn't been anything
that's been clean or has been moving uh
nicely. So this right now definitely
feels like the time just to sit tight,
be patient, wait it out, and uh you
know, who knows? tomorrow we could have
a stock that pops up with news and all
of a sudden we get a three 400% move
again but we need a good catalyst at
least that's what I think is that a good
catalyst would really help. I recognize
that we have had stocks that have moved
up with no news and I think on the one
hand they've confused short sellers and
they've gotten trapped and the price
just keeps going higher and higher and
higher but the likelihood of a round
trip is so high I just I don't want to
get smoked. So uh for right now I'm just
sitting tight. um no trades today and
tomorrow hoping that we have some better
uh catalysts that are pushing stocks
further up the scan than today what was
uh initially only a 50% gain. So you
know VTAC is up 138% today that is our
leading gainer. Um you know cheaper but
that's been the stock in focus. So I
guess there's been some opportunity
there but it's not really my cup of tea.
So with that I'll remind you guys as
always that trading is risky and my
results aren't typical. So, manage your
risk, take it slow, and always practice
in the simulator before putting real
